Catching up

Hey everyone,

I want to catch you all up with the events that have transpired over the last couple of months but I do not want to write a whole novel so I am going to do a couple of short excerpts below to give the cliff notes because nothing that’s happened is particularly groundbreaking, but it is good stuff to know.

21MY Build out

The factory has really been making great progress with our remaining 21’s at the factory. They have been coming in pretty well within my original estimated delivery timeframes and, if the state of our order bank is any indication, I would say they are on track for the projected ’22 production start date in September. The plant has been running at their current full capacity of two shifts, producing around 180 cars a day since the last production pause in June. As of August 15th, we have 42 cars remaining to be delivered. The cars had been coming in big groups so it should not be an issue getting the rest of these cars in by the first couple weeks of September, barring any unforeseen delays.

22MY Start Up

So I have had the order guide for the 2022 model year since late July. I have not distributed it to everyone only because I made it my goal to get the new interactive order form up and working. I do still have an ‘old format’ .pdf version, which is great for having all the prices and option codes available for reference. However, the new order form on this website is far superior in its ability to guide you through the build process and only show you options that are compatible with selections you have already made. Seeing that this is a brand new format, I do anticipate bugs but luckily, I can make alterations and fix things immediately. Check out the new order form and let me know what you think!

The 22 model year has had a couple of order cycles so far but the overall consensus is that the factory is being highly conservative in the number of orders they accept prior to the 21 production completion. Once they get going on the 22’s I believe we will see our normal order volume for the subsequent cycles.

In July we were allocated 12 and this month, 2. Not quite the volume we are looking for when we are trying to get through our deposit list of over 500! Again, I do believe the numbers will boost significantly moving forward.

Stay Tuned

I have some ideas of different things I can do for the site to make it fun for you guys. I know the wait has been excruciating and my responsiveness has been pretty delayed in my email inbox, and I just want to extend my gratitude to all of you who have stuck with us and I promise you will not be disappointed when you get behind the wheel of your amazing new Corvette!
