Stingray Chevrolet is now accepting deposits for rumored future Corvette models that are yet to be officially announced by General Motors (GM).
Here’s everything you need to know:
Deposit and List Management:
- Deposit Amount: A $500 refundable deposit secures your spot on the waitlist.
- Order of Preference: Placement on the list is determined by the date of your deposit.
- Multiple Lists: If you wish to be on multiple lists (e.g., Stingray, Future, E-Ray), separate deposits are required for each.
- Consolidated Future Model List: Deposits for all unannounced models (e.g., ZR1, Zora) are included in a single, consolidated list.
When New Models Are Announced:
- Creation of Model-Specific List: Upon official announcement of a new Corvette variant, a dedicated list for that model will be created.
- Option to Transfer (with Time Window):
- Transfer Opportunity: Each deposit holder will be contacted and given a set time window to decide whether to transfer to the new model’s list or wait for other future models.
- Outside the Window: Transfers from the Future Variant List to any other list outside of this set window will result in the deposit date being changed to the date of the transfer request.
- List Order: The order on every list, including the new model-specific lists, is determined by the original deposit date.
Transfers and Deposit Date Rules:
- One-Time Transfer Keeping Original Date: Customers are allowed one transfer onto the Future Variant List while retaining their original deposit date.
- Subsequent Transfers: Any additional transfers will change the deposit date to the date of the transfer request.
Additional Details about the Waitlist:
- Variable Position: Your position on the list can fluctuate:
- New Entrants: If a deposit holder from another list (e.g., Z06) chooses to move to this list, they retain their original deposit date, possibly affecting your position.
- Cancellations: Your position may improve if others ahead of you cancel.
- No Regular Movement: The list doesn’t have scheduled progressions.
- Production Uncertainty: There is no guarantee that rumored models will be produced.
- No Timetable: There are no set timelines for ordering, production, or pricing of rumored models.
- Model Announcement: Upon the announcement of a new model, everyone on the list will be contacted with an option to join the new model’s waitlist.
- Limited Production Caution: High-performance models often have limited production volumes, and therefore, securing an order is not guaranteed.
- List Closure: New lists may close at our discretion if the length exceeds projected production volumes.
Remember, your spot on this list is not fixed and may change. Our goal is to keep you informed and provide opportunities for the latest Corvette models as they become available.
