Corvette Order Process Guide

Welcome to our Comprehensive Corvette Order Process Guide. This guide walks you through every step of ordering your new Corvette — from placing your initial deposit to taking delivery. We've compiled this information to ensure a transparent and enjoyable purchasing experience.

Stingray Chevrolet reserves the right to change its policy regarding deposits, ordering, and purchasing at any time.

Deposit Lists — Current Status

All deposit lists are currently open and accepting new customers except for the ZR1 and ZR1X, where we have collected more deposits than we anticipate receiving allocations for.

Stingray Open

  • Deposit: $500
  • Fully refundable until order placed
  • Sold at MSRP unless specifically noted

Z06 Open

  • Deposit: $500 + $2,500 at order
  • Full deposit becomes non-refundable at order
  • Sold at MSRP unless specifically noted

Grand Sport Open

  • Deposit: $500
  • Fully refundable until order placed
  • Sold at MSRP unless specifically noted

Grand Sport X Open

  • Deposit: $500 + $2,500 at order
  • Full deposit becomes non-refundable at order
  • Sold at MSRP unless specifically noted

ZR1 Closed

ZR1X Closed

  • Not accepting new deposits at this time
  • Contact us if you are already on this list

E-Ray Discontinued

  • GM has discontinued the E-Ray
  • No new deposits accepted
  • Existing E-Ray depositors have been automatically transferred to the Grand Sport X list — contact us if you'd like to adjust that

Deposit Details by Model

Stingray

  • $500 deposit to secure your place on the list.
  • Deposit is fully refundable until your order is submitted to the factory.
  • An additional deposit may be due at time of order if your build includes:
    • BV4 Personalized Plaque
    • R8C Museum Delivery
    • D30 Color Combination Override

Grand Sport

List is open — accepting new deposits now.
  • $500 deposit to secure your place on the Grand Sport list.
  • Deposit is fully refundable until your order is submitted to the factory.
  • Grand Sport and Grand Sport X are maintained as separate lists due to separate GM allocations. Placing a deposit on one does not reserve a spot on the other.
  • Sold at MSRP unless specifically noted.

Grand Sport X

List is open — accepting new deposits now. Former E-Ray depositors have been automatically transferred here.
  • $500 deposit to secure your place on the Grand Sport X list.
  • An additional $2,500 is due when your order is placed for production.
  • The entire deposit becomes non-refundable once your order is submitted to the factory.
  • If you were previously on the E-Ray deposit list, your deposit has been automatically transferred to the Grand Sport X list. Contact us if you would like to move it elsewhere or request a refund instead.
  • Sold at MSRP unless specifically noted.

Z06

List is open — accepting new deposits now.
  • $500 deposit to secure your place on the list.
  • An additional $2,500 is due when your order is placed for production.
  • The entire deposit becomes non-refundable at the time the order is submitted to the factory.
  • Sold at MSRP unless specifically noted.

ZR1 & ZR1X

These lists are currently closed. We have collected more deposits than we anticipate receiving in allocations and are not accepting new names at this time. Please visit the ZR1 Process Page or contact us directly for more information.

Deposit Policies

Refund Policy

  • Your deposit is fully refundable until your order is placed for production.
  • Once your order is submitted to the factory, the entire deposit becomes non-refundable.
  • If you decide to cancel, we will verify your mailing address and issue a refund check.
  • Refunds are issued only to the individual named on the original deposit receipt.

Placing a Deposit

  • Use our online Deposit Form, which accepts credit card payments.
  • Your position in line is determined by the date your deposit is received.
  • We allow one deposit per household on each model's list.
  • Additional deposits may be placed only after your first order is in production.

The Order Process

Ordering Cycles

  • We place Corvette orders twice per month.
  • Allocation quantities for each model vary with each ordering cycle.
  • GM provides allocation information approximately two weeks before each ordering period.

Configuration & Constraints

  • Specific option constraints, if any, are released 5 days before orders must be finalized.
  • Constraints can change monthly, affecting available colors, options, and packages.
  • We recommend scheduling an appointment with our Corvette Specialist to configure your car and discuss options before the ordering window opens.
  • We will contact you when it is your turn to finalize your order.

Pricing Policy

  • The majority of new Corvettes at Stingray Chevrolet are sold at or below MSRP.
  • Certain limited-edition or high-demand variants may be priced differently at the dealer's discretion. Any such pricing will be clearly communicated before you are asked to commit to an order.
  • Pricing is subject to change by GM without notice. We do not offer price protection against GM-initiated price adjustments.
  • All prices are plus tax, title, and dealer fees.

Dealer Fees

The following fees apply to every customer on every deal, without exception:

  • Dealer Fee: $999
  • Tag Agency Fee: $362

These fees are in addition to the vehicle's MSRP, titling fees, and any applicable taxes.

Payment Options

Cash & Check

  • We accept cash, cashier's checks, and personal checks.
  • Make checks payable to "Stingray Chevrolet."
  • Additional verification may be required for certain payment methods.

Financing

  • We work with various retail banks and credit unions to secure competitive financing.
  • Loans should not be secured more than 30 days before vehicle delivery.

Leasing

  • We offer leasing through multiple lenders.
  • Lease programs and terms are set by lenders and change monthly.

Your Deposit & Down Payment

  • Your deposit will be applied to the final purchase as a down payment or partial payment.
  • All funds must be verified in-house before the vehicle will be released.

Vehicle Delivery

Shipping & Preparation

  • It typically takes approximately 2 days for your Corvette to arrive after shipping from the factory.
  • Upon arrival, we perform a comprehensive Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI).
  • We install all dealer-installed (LPO) accessories you have ordered.

Delivery Requirements

  • Buyers must present a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • The person whose name is on the order must be present at delivery. Exceptions for extraordinary circumstances must be approved in advance.
  • We handle all tax and registration paperwork on your behalf.
  • Trade-ins are evaluated at current market value at time of contract. We cannot accept early trade-ins.

Restrictions

We do not sell or lease vehicles:

  • To be titled and registered in New Hampshire, Oregon, Montana, Alaska, or Delaware.
  • To individuals who may not be permanent U.S. residents, may live or work outside the U.S., or may conduct business outside the U.S.
  • To brokers, wholesalers, or exporters.
